Chapter 673 - Cooperation

Chapter 673 - Cooperation

"I have been waiting to hear that.."

Max raised his head to look at the person who had just appeared in the room.

The voice sounded feminine, and familiar as well.

But, she had draped her body in a cloak, which prevented Max from seeing her face. There was another person outside near the door, but he just kept standing their as a guard and didn\'t come inside.

"You don\'t look surprised?" She asked, looking at Max.

Max looked at Naze, "Is she the Princess?"

He remembered that this guy had once mentioned something about a Princess.

"It seems you have been talking a lot." The person turned her head to look at Naze.

"Sigh..I have been too lonely these days. I can\'t help but chat when I find an opportunity. Not to mention, you and all your people are boring.." Naze shrugged.

Well, that certainly didn\'t seem to be the proper way to be talking to a Princess.

The person shook her head. It seemed she was used to this guy erratic behavior.

"I guess all this act had been a part of your plan then, Princess?" Max asked as he looked at her.

"True, you are smart. You already know what I am here for." The person calmly pulled a chair, and took a seat right in front of Max.

"Well, I have thought of the possibility of good and bad Demons in the past. But, never thought there would be a day like this when I will be discussing about it." Max looked at her trying observe her reactions.

"It just means that thing have become more serious than they had been past. We are more closer to the end of all this then we ever were," The Princess replied.

"How about you take that cloak down first? I mean you aren\'t going to ask me to trust you when you don\'t even show me your face, right?"

"How about I let someone else do the dealing with you? Someone whom you recognize and someone who you know for sure is a Demon." The Princes calmly said, and the next moment, the person standing outside came in.

It was indeed someone Max was familiar with.

It was Bayu.

A slight frown appeared on Max\'s face at the sight of this guy, "I sure think this guy comes under the category of \'Bad Demons\'. I don\'t think we are having any kind of cooperation with this guy here."

To be honest, he was just probing the situation for now. This was a very huge decision, and it was obvious that single meeting between two people wasn\'t enough for Max to take his stance. It was true that he believed that there were indeed innocent people on both side and the same for the rotten ones.

But, it wasn\'t going to change what was about to happen.

Let\'s just say Max decided to help this innocent demon. But, what about the cost? If that thing was going to work against their favor in the upcoming fight, then even if he had to be cold hearted, he would have no choice here.

But, there was only one possible situation in which Max would be willing to do this.

That was that this representative of innocent people had enough capability to affect the entire over all situation. Either they had the a great amount of authority on the Demons side or a large force.

Secondly, they had to be successful in gaining his trust.

Otherwise there was not going to be a deal. Not to mention, without enough benefits, even the Ancient Families would not be ready to take this risk here.

"Hmph! Then let me say this as well, you are not a good human either." Bayu snorted.

But, his logic was right. If him killing humans made him a bad guy, then Max killing Demons did the same in his eyes as well.

"We have killed each other. If we go to find who was right and who wrong. We wouldn\'t find an answer. After all, this hatred is something which had been passed down to us. Tracing its origin would be a hard job to do," The Princess replied with a calm look on her face.

"Well, I certainly can\'t deny that.." Max shook his head with a smile. He had been passed down the task of defeating the Heavenly Demon by the gods as well.

He had no hatred or anything against Demons from the start, until he got entangled with them obviously.

"We are here to talk about cooperation," The Princess raised her hand, and Bayu immediately shut his mouth.

"You sure don\'t know how to build trust then, Princess." Max looked at her. He was honestly a bit surprised seeing that Bayu was so obedient to her.

"What do you mean?" She asked in a serious tone.

"Let me say this in simple words, I won\'t even talk to a person about cooperation when there isn\'t enough trust between us to know about each other\'s identity." He smiled at her.

"I am here to take the blame for her. Her position is a bit too sensitive." Bayu frowned. If it was found that she was cooperating with humans, then it would really be dangerous for her. As for him, he was ready to face danger for her. And, if push came to shove, he could become a traitor. But, that was not possible for her.

She was someone whom their people needed. She couldn\'t be brought out from the Politics on the Demon side. Without her there, a lot of people would die.

"You think it is not the same for me? People would definitely look down on me or even suspect me of betraying if I say that I want to sign a peace deal with you," Max replied with a laugh as he got up. "If we can\'t even get to this point, there is no need to talk further ahead."

Bayu took a step forward and blocked Max.

"Huh? You really wanna do this?" Max asked as he looked at the Princess, "I thought I would let you guys live till our next encounter."
